As an attorney engaged in the provision of legal services to clients worldwide, Jared Spindel, CFA d/b/a Five Dogs Law ("FDL") is committed to protecting the privacy of confidential and personal information. Collection and Use of Personal Information. FDL collects personal information in the course of providing legal services to clients and as provided by visitors to its website or users of Internet Services. FDL may also collect personal information about you when you interact with us on social media sites and from other third parties and may also automatically collect information that may contain personal information as described below in the cookie policy. FDL may use that personal information where in its legitimate interest to do so for the following purposes: to contact you and respond to your requests and enquiries; to personalize your visit and use of its Internet Services and to assist you while you use those services; to carry out, monitor and analyze its business or website operations; to provide you with legal services, if you are or become a client of FDL; to contact you (unless you tell us that you prefer us not to) regarding legal or law firm developments that may be of interest to you (If you do not want to receive publications or details of events or seminars that we consider may be of interest to you, you may do so by clicking on the unsubscribe link in electronic marketing communications); to enter into or carry out contracts of various kinds; and to comply with applicable laws, regulations, guidance or professional obligations that FDL may be subject to, including anti-money laundering requirements. Where personal information is necessary for the firm to carry out its anti-money laundering checks failure to provide such information may result in the firm not being able to provide representation.
Confidentiality, Security, and Retention of Personal Information. Consistent with its professional obligations, the policy of FDL is to exercise the utmost discretion regarding the information our clients entrust to it. FDL maintains reasonable and appropriate, albeit not infallible, physical, electronic and procedural safeguards intended to maintain the confidentiality of personal information, including that provided by a visitor to this website and provided while using other Internet Services. FDL does not guarantee that its safeguards will always work. FDL requires consultants, suppliers and vendors to maintain data protections consistent with reasonable and appropriate obligations of data processors, including, where applicable, European Union’s data protection laws and regulations. FDL may retain information provided by you, including personal information, for as long as necessary to comply with its legal obligations, or to achieve the purposes for which the information was originally collected and for the purposes described in this Policy.
Disclosure and Transfer of Personal Information. FDL does not disclose any personal information to unrelated parties except in limited circumstances. Such circumstances include disclosures to our agents or data processors or other contractors acting on its behalf and at its direction, subject to appropriate confidentiality, privacy and information security commitments provided by the receiving party, or where it believes it necessary to provide a service which you have requested, or as permitted or required by law, or as otherwise authorized or directed by you. Consistent with FDL's professional obligations, it may provide personal information to regulatory authorities and law enforcement officials in accordance with applicable law or when it otherwise believes in good faith that the provision of such information is required or permitted by law, such as in connection with the investigation or assertion of our legal defenses or for its compliance matters.

Under California Civil Code Section 1798.100 (California Consumer Privacy Act), California residents may have certain data protection rights regarding their personal information. These rights which may be subject to limitations and/or restrictions include: (i) the right to disclosure, deletion, access, and non-discrimination; and (ii) the right to opt out of having your personal information shared or sold. FDL does not sell or share your personal information with third-party companies for their direct marketing purposes without your consent. Code § 1798.80(e)), protected classification characteristics under California or federal law, commercial information, biometric information, internet or other electronic network activity, geolocation data, sensory data, professional or employment-related information, non-public education information, and inferences drawn from other personal information.
Your European Union (EU) and United Kingdom (UK) Data Protection Rights. Under EU and UK data protection laws (UK GDPR/2018 Data Protection Act and EU GDPR), individuals may have certain data protection rights which may be subject to limitations and/or restrictions and which includes: (i) the right to request access to and, rectification or erasure of your personal information; and (ii) the right to ask FDL to restrict the processing of your personal information. You may also have a right to object to processing of your personal information where carried out for our legitimate interest or direct marketing. FDL's processing of your personal information within the scope of the following legislation may afford you certain specific rights: Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (the “PDPA”); Mainland China’s Personal Information Protection Law (the “PIPL”); and the DIFC’s Data Protection Law DIFC Law No. 5 of 2020.
